 Try the WMS client:

Visualise the 'blue-marble' WMS icon. When you do this, Metview contacts a WMS server
to retrieve an image. If you drop a GRIB icon into the Display Window, it will be overlaid
 - you might need to change the oreder of plotting in the Layers tab.

If you zoom into an area, you will see that the image is not retrieved again, resulting in
a lower-quality plot (what looks good in a global view will look lower-resolution in a sub-area).

If you visualise a Map View icon and then drop the WMS icon into it, then the image will
be retrieved according to the goegraphical area you are visualising - this will result
 in a better quality plot.

Make a copy of the blue-marble icon (drag with the middle mouse button, or use the
right-click context menu) and edit it. Here, a list of possible layers from this WMS server
are retrieved dynamically. When you have selected one, click the 'Generate Preview' button
to see what it will look like.
